RULES FOR THE USE OF WCYC CLUB FACILITIES

(Revised June 27, 2008)

DOCK & MOORING RULES

During June, July, August and September use of the Long Dock is limited to members only, as follows: from Noon to 6 pm the end of the Long Dock is reserved for tie-ups NOT TO EXCEED 30 MINUTES for loading and unloading. Long-term docking is permitted from 6 pm to Noon and must be Mediterranean Style (stern to), but Members are requested to voluntarily observe the 30-minute rule from 10 am to Noon. The Club Manager may grant exceptions to this rule when little boating activity is anticipated due to inclement weather or otherwise. Summary:


Noon – 6 pm

Tie-ups are not to exceed 30 minutes

6 pm – Noon

No time limit, but must moor stern to (Med. Moor)

10 am – Noon

Voluntary observance of 30 minute limit



Gas Dock

Long-term docking (parallel to the dock) is permitted for members only on the flagpole end of the Gas Dock from 6 pm to 8 am. During business hours, tie-ups at the Gas Dock shall be solely for the purpose of buying gas or for pumpouts.

Guests of club members may tie up no more than 3 times per season. Non-members who are not guests of a club member shall be allowed to tie up only on a fee basis and only if permitted in the discretion of the Club Manager.

General

Dock spaces and moorings are assigned to specific members and are solely for the assigned members use (whether occupied at the moment or not), unless otherwise approved by the member and the Club Manager.

Effective 1 January 2009
As of June 30, all boats that have not been launched are considered summer storage. No summer storage boats are permitted at 12 Nancy’s Way. Therefore, owners must pay for transport, related fees and storage at the 109A facility or transport and related fees to an alternative location.

All members’ boats must have a club burgee, club sticker or club initials with the name of boat, for proper identification.

Boat owners are responsible for properly securing their own boat, whether docked or moored, to prevent damage to club property. Damage to club property caused by improperly secured boats will be charged to the owners. Damage to boats caused by improperly secured boats will be at the owner’s expense.

No part of any dock shall be altered without prior permission of the Club Manager.

Speed limit within 150' of our designated congregate mooring field is NO WAKE - 6 MPH (State Law).

CLUB LAUNCH & WHALER

The club launch is available to members during business hours to travel to and from their boats in the mooring field and to island members when their own boats are not available or to transport guests to their island. At all times, only qualified club staff members shall operate the launch.

The launch is available at the discretion of the Club Manager for moving large objects to the islands on a fee basis as determined by the Manager.

The WCYC whaler is available for use only within the mooring field by club members who are at least 18 years of age and who possess a valid New Hampshire Safe Boating Certificate if required under applicable State law.


CLUB ROOM & DECK - USE BY CLUB MEMBERS

Everyday Use

The clubroom and deck is available for use by members and their guests, when the member is present.

NO PETS are permitted in the clubroom at any time.

NO SMOKING is allowed in the clubroom at any time.

NO USE OF THE GAS GRILLS on the deck is allowed under the awning.

Special Occasion Use

All reservations for special occasion use of the club room/deck by a member should be made at least two weeks prior to the event with the Club Manager.

The use of the club room and deck will be made available to members free of charge for special occasions or functions, and for non-profit fund raising events provided that the sponsoring member must be present. However, if upon inspection after the event by the Club Manager it is found that damage has occurred or cleaning is required the appropriate expenses will be billed to the member’s account.

The club room/deck is not available for use by any member or non-member for special occasion use on any weekend during the months of July and August without prior permission from the Club Manager, or during any WCYC sponsored functions.

CLUB ROOM & DECK - USE BY NON-MEMBERS

Special function use may be available to a non-member or group on a fee-paying basis. The Club Manager will work out the details, but in no event will the fee be less than $50.00 for three (3) consecutive hours use.

A refundable damage/cleaning deposit of $100.00 is required.

Any non-member use will only be allowed if no functions have been scheduled by any member for that time.

Any abuse of the club room/deck will result in suspension of that member’s or non-member’s right to use the facility in the future.



PARKING

No parking in restricted areas as designated by signs or lines on the pavement.

No parking on the apron area next to docks -- this area is for loading and unloading & handicapped parking. Handicapped parking spaces are reserved for vehicles with handicap license plates or decals.

All members’ cars must have WCYC parking stickers and guest’s cars must have parking passes (available at the office) displayed through the windshield.

Parking on the lawn is prohibited, except for temporary overflow parking, guest parking and long-term parking.

On weekends, members and guests with more than one car are requested to park one car behind the other on the lawn area.

Improperly parked vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.

BEACH AREA

Children under the age of 12 should not be left unattended.
All holes dug in the sand must be refilled before leaving area.
All beach toys are to be properly stowed before leaving area.
All chairs & tables must be returned to their proper place.
Boats are not allowed on the beach area (see Club Manager).

WASHDOWNS

Potable town water is not to be used for washing boats or cars; please use the hose near the shore end of the gas dock which pumps water from the lake.

PETS

All dogs must be on a leash in accordance with state and local law.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach or the grassy area next to beach.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

QUIET HOURS

Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am (please respect your neighbors rights).

TRASH DUMPSTER

The trash dumpster is only for the use of the club and for islanders and live-aboard boaters who pay a usage fee. Please report use by any non-members to the Club Manager.

LAUNCHING RAMP

The launching ramp is only for the use of members and their guests.
